Nai Yang Beach is a tranquil crescent of sand on Phuket's northwest coast, partially within Sirinat National Park. Popular with locals and expats rather than mass-market tourists, Nai Yang has preserved a genuine Thai beach atmosphere with affordable seafood restaurants under the casuarina trees, modest guesthouses, and none of the high-rise development found elsewhere on the island. The reef just offshore creates calm, shallow waters perfect for wading and swimming.
During weekends, Thai families spread out picnic mats under the trees and the beach takes on a wonderfully social local character. Its location just minutes from the airport makes it a convenient first-day or last-day beach stop.
Easy flat access from the parking area directly to the beach. The sand is firm near the tree line.
Just 5 minutes south of Phuket International Airport. Take a taxi or rent a motorbike. Songthaews from Phuket Town also stop here.
