Bang Tao Beach is one of Phuket's longest beaches at over 6 kilometres, home to the famous Laguna Phuket resort complex — a cluster of luxury hotels connected by a lagoon ferry system. The northern end is quieter and more local, while the southern section has upscale beach clubs, water sports centres, and the full range of five-star resort amenities. The beach is wide and gently sloping, making it excellent for long walks and family swimming.
Bang Tao strikes a unique balance between resort luxury and natural beauty, with sections where you can walk for hundreds of metres without seeing another person.
Multiple flat access points from the road. Resort areas have well-maintained paths to the beach.
Located in central-west Phuket. Most easily reached by taxi or rental car. The Laguna resorts offer shuttle services.
