Goyambokka Beach, just east of the main Tangalle bay, is the region's prime snorkelling destination. The cove's naturally sheltered position keeps the water calm and clear, revealing coral formations and a variety of reef fish. Sea turtles frequently visit the shallower reefs here — a combination of quiet surroundings and excellent marine life that puts this small cove in a class of its own on Sri Lanka's south coast.
