Tangalle is one of Sri Lanka's least-developed beach areas, stretching along a rugged south coast with wide, wind-swept bays and minimal tourist infrastructure. The main beach is a long arc of golden sand where leather-back sea turtles nest between October and April. Nearby Goyambokka is a sheltered cove with calm, clear water perfect for snorkelling. This is the south coast at its most authentic — slow, peaceful, and breathtakingly beautiful.
