Llevant Beach is Barcelona's most northerly urban beach, situated near the Diagonal Mar shopping centre and the Forum district. Its position away from the tourist hotspots of Barceloneta gives it a distinctly local character, where Barcelona residents bring their families for genuine beach days without the summer crowds.
The beach enjoys good water quality thanks to its position at the northern end of the city's coastline, and the wide sandy strip offers ample space even during the busiest summer weekends. Children's playgrounds and sports areas dotted along the promenade make it an excellent choice for families with young children.
Llevant connects seamlessly with Nova Mar Bella Beach to the south, giving visitors the option of a long promenade walk past some of Barcelona's most authentic coastal neighbourhoods. The Forum district nearby also hosts outdoor concerts and cultural events during summer months.
Fully accessible from the promenade, with flat pathways and adapted facilities. The Forum tram stop is a short walk away.
Take the T4 or T5 tram to Fòrum stop, or metro L4 to El Maresme–Fòrum. The bike path along the seafront runs directly past the beach.
