Cala Turqueta lives up to its name completely — the water here is an almost impossibly vivid turquoise, so clear that the sandy bottom is visible from the beach. Set within the protected Son Parc nature reserve, this south-coast cove has remained entirely free of development, accessible only via a 20-minute walk through pine and oak woodland.
The beach is a broad crescent of soft white sand backed by dense scrubland and tall pines. The shallow water shelves gently, making it excellent for swimming, and snorkeling around the flanking rocks reveals abundant sea life. The combination of pristine nature, outstanding water clarity, and total undevelopment makes Cala Turqueta one of Menorca's most beloved beaches.
Note that this is a protected natural area — visitors are asked to take all litter back with them, stay on marked paths, and respect the vegetation. Dogs are not permitted in high season.
No on-beach facilities — this is a fully natural protected cove. Bring all food, water, and sunscreen. A small bar operates near the car park in summer.
The approach is a 20-minute walk on a pine forest path. Not wheelchair accessible. The beach itself has soft sand.
Drive to the Torre Saura car park near Ciutadella. Paid parking operates in summer. Walk approximately 20 minutes to the beach on the signed path.
