Legzira's natural rock pools and clear Atlantic waters harbour diverse marine life in an extraordinary setting beneath towering red-ochre sea arches.
β οΈ Tide Warning β Essential Reading
Snorkeling at Legzira is only possible during LOW TIDE windows. Rock pools and coves beneath the arches are submerged at high tide. Check local tide tables carefully before visiting. Do NOT enter the water when the tide is rising.
The rock pools at Legzira are among the most extraordinary on Morocco's Atlantic coast. When the tide retreats, it reveals clear shallow pools teeming with sea urchins, crabs, blennies, starfish, and the occasional octopus tucked under the red sandstone overhangs. The clarity of the water is exceptional β you can often see to the sandy bottom in 3β4 metres of water even without a mask. Bring your own snorkel gear; there is no equipment hire nearby.
