About Praia Dona Ana

Praia Dona Ana is one of the most photographed beaches in the Algarve and a jewel of the Lagos coastline. This sheltered cove is framed by honey-coloured sandstone cliffs and sea stacks that have been eroded into dramatic sculptural forms. The beach is well-organized with a modern stairway access, and the water is calm and exceptionally clear — perfect for both swimming and snorkeling.

Despite its compact size, Dona Ana never feels cramped thanks to the clever arrangement of surrounding rock formations that create semi-private smaller coves explorable at low tide. A clifftop restaurant offers panoramic views, and the beach is just a 20-minute walk from Lagos' historic centre.
