Bulabog Beach faces east across the Sibuyan Sea, just a 5-minute walk through Boracay's interior from the famous White Beach. While White Beach captures perfect sunsets, Bulabog captures perfect wind. From November to May, the northeast Amihan trade winds blow with consistent force across this exposed eastern shore, creating textbook conditions for kitesurfing and windsurfing at an intermediate to advanced level.
The beach hosts several international kitesurfing and windsurfing schools that cater to complete beginners through to experienced riders. The sheltered shallow lagoon inside the reef is particularly well-suited to learning, while the outer reef break offers more challenging waves for those seeking progression. The Habagat Kite Surfing Competition, held annually at Bulabog, draws competitors from across Asia and beyond.
Outside of wind sport season (June to October) the east coast sees calmer conditions, and Bulabog transforms into a quieter, more relaxed beach popular with locals. Stand-up paddleboarding and swimming are possible in the calmer months, and the lack of resort infrastructure compared to White Beach gives it a more laid-back character that many travellers prefer.
A 5-minute walk through the island's interior from White Beach Station 2, or a 5-minute eTrike ride. All kite schools are visible from the beach road. The walk is easy and well-signposted.
November to May for ideal kitesurfing and windsurfing winds (15–25 knots consistently). December to February sees the strongest, most reliable winds. June to October is off-season for wind sports but pleasant for swimming.
Book kite or windsurf lessons in advance during peak season. If you're not a wind sports enthusiast, Bulabog is still worth visiting for the spectacle of hundreds of colourful kites in the sky. Multiple certified schools offer IKO lessons.
