About Paradise Bay

Paradise Bay sits at the very tip of mainland Malta, just a stone's throw from the Ċirkewwa ferry terminal where boats depart for Gozo and Comino. Despite its proximity to one of Malta's busiest transport hubs, the beach itself feels surprisingly tucked away — a small, sheltered sandy cove nestled between low rocky headlands and reached by a flight of steps from the Paradise Bay Resort above.

The water here is exceptionally clear, owing to the rocky seabed that surrounds the sandy swimming area. Snorkeling along the edges of the cove reveals sea urchins, colourful wrasse, and octopus hiding in the limestone crevices. The bay faces northeast, making it naturally sheltered from the prevailing summer winds and ideal for calm swimming conditions during the peak season.

Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for hire, and a beach bar serves refreshments throughout the summer. The compact size of the beach means it can fill up quickly on hot weekends, so arriving early is recommended. Many visitors combine a morning at Paradise Bay with an afternoon boat trip to the Blue Lagoon on Comino, as the ferry terminal is just a few minutes' walk away. It's a small but perfectly formed Maltese beach gem.
