Best Beaches in Ksamil
Your guide to the finest beaches in Ksamil — crystal-clear turquoise waters, white sand, and tiny islands just off Albania's stunning southern Ionian coast.
Exploring Ksamil
Ksamil sits at the southernmost tip of Albania, just a stone's throw from the Greek island of Corfu. Often called the "Albanian Maldives," the village is famous for its impossibly clear Ionian waters that shift from turquoise to emerald green over beds of white sand. Four small islands lie just offshore, easily reached by swimming or a short boat ride. Ksamil Beach is the centrepiece — a sweeping crescent of fine white sand meeting some of the most transparent water on the entire Mediterranean coast. Despite its growing popularity, Ksamil retains a relaxed, village atmosphere with family-run tavernas and affordable seaside dining. The nearby Butrint National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, adds ancient ruins to a day at the beach.
