Marina Grande is Amalfi town's main beach, stretching in front of the historic harbour with the magnificent Cathedral of Sant'Andrea as a backdrop. The beach is a mix of private beach clubs (stabilimenti) and free public areas, laid out on characteristic dark volcanic sand. Colourful fishing boats rest on the shore, and the cliffside town rises dramatically above.
It's the most accessible beach on the Amalfi Coast, reachable on foot from the main town piazza. The beach clubs offer full service with sun loungers, umbrellas, and food, while the public areas provide a more budget-friendly alternative.
Flat access through a short tunnel from Amalfi town centre. Wheelchair accessible up to the promenade.
