About La Pelosa Beach

La Pelosa Beach looks like it belongs in the Caribbean but sits at the northwestern tip of Sardinia. Its impossibly shallow, crystal-clear turquoise water extends hundreds of metres from shore, making it one of Italy's most photogenic beaches. The iconic 16th-century Aragonese watchtower on the tiny Isola della Pelosa adds a fairytale element to an already stunning scene.

Due to its popularity and to protect the delicate ecosystem, visitor numbers are now limited. Beachgoers must reserve a spot in advance during peak season and use beach mats to protect the sand. Despite the regulations, La Pelosa remains an unmissable Sardinian experience.
