Imsouane Β· Morocco
Africa's longest rideable wave β a 900m+ bay break that rewrites everything you thought you knew about leisurely, flowing surf in Morocco.
Imsouane Bay is one of the most remarkable surf experiences in Africa. The bay's unique orientation captures northwest Atlantic swells and bends them around the headland in a long, sweeping ride that continues for over 900 metres on a good day β sometimes generating rides of two to three full minutes. This makes it the longest rideable wave on the continent and one of the most celebrated longboard destinations anywhere in the surf world. The wave suits all levels from confident beginners to advanced surfers, with the outer section offering more challenge before the long, mellow inside section allows extended cruising.
