Hikkaduwa is one of Sri Lanka's most legendary beach resorts, located on the south-west coast about 100 km from Colombo. The beach is built around a remarkable coral reef system just metres from shore, where sea turtles glide through shallow, clear water making it one of the best snorkelling spots in the country.
