Mirror Beach, known locally as Pasqyra Beach, earns its evocative name from the extraordinary stillness and clarity of its waters. Tucked into a small rocky cove along the coast between Sarandë and Ksamil, the beach is sheltered from winds by the surrounding cliffs, creating conditions where the sea surface becomes so calm it literally mirrors the sky and rocks above — a natural phenomenon that has made it one of Albania's most photographed locations.
The beach itself is small and intimate, with smooth pebbles sloping into water of astonishing transparency. Snorkellers are drawn here for the underwater visibility, which can exceed 30 metres on still days. Schools of colourful fish dart between the rocks, and the rocky seabed is alive with sea urchins and marine plants. It is one of the best snorkelling spots on the entire Albanian coast.
Despite its Instagram fame, Mirror Beach has remained relatively unspoiled and uncrowded, partly because of its small size and tucked-away location. A small beach bar operates seasonally, but the experience here is fundamentally about nature — immersing yourself in some of the clearest water in the Mediterranean and enjoying the magical reflective effect that gives this special beach its name.
Access involves a short walk and descent from the road. The path is rocky and uneven, making it unsuitable for those with significant mobility issues. The beach itself is small with a pebble surface.
Mirror Beach is located on the coastal road between Sarandë and Ksamil, about 10 minutes drive from Sarandë. Look for the signpost on the left side of the road. A short path leads down to the cove.
