Drymades Beach is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful spots on the Albanian Riviera. The beach forms a graceful curve of white pebbles and coarse sand, sheltered by pine-covered hills that tumble down to the turquoise Ionian Sea. The setting is genuinely breathtaking — the kind of place that makes you stop and stare the moment you arrive.
What sets Drymades apart from other Riviera beaches is the perfect balance between natural beauty and comfortable amenities. Stylish beach bars with wooden decks and draped fabric blend seamlessly into the landscape, serving cocktails and fresh seafood while music plays softly in the background. Yet the water remains pristine, the hills unspoiled, and the atmosphere relaxed rather than hectic.
The beach is divided into several sections — some with organised sunbeds and bars, others left wild and free. This means visitors can choose their own experience, whether that is a cocktail on a daybed or a quiet swim in an untouched cove. Drymades captures the essence of why the Albanian Riviera is rapidly becoming one of Europe's most exciting coastal destinations.
The beach is reached via a winding road from the main SH8 highway. The path to the beach is somewhat steep. The organised sections with sunbeds offer the easiest access to the waterfront.
From Tirana, drive about 4 hours south via Vlorë and the Llogara Pass. Drymades is signposted off the SH8 just north of Dhërmi village. Summer buses from Vlorë and Tirana stop nearby.
