Al Hoceima's Mediterranean location gives it some of Morocco's clearest water — visibility of 10–15 metres is common on calm days. The rocky headlands and coastal cliffs provide sheltered pools and underwater structures that attract abundant marine life, making this one of the best areas in Morocco for snorkelling without specialist equipment.
